The Lethbridge Bowbenders Advanced Junior Archery Class is designed for dedicated young archers who possess a strong passion to excel in the sport and the personal drive to advance their skills. This program focuses on high-level performance techniques, competitive readiness, and mental management. Shooting takes place at a distance of 18 meters.
Program Requirements & Expectations:
Equipment: Participants must bring their own bow, arrows, and gear, which must be fully set up, tuned, and ready for use (no equipment rental option available).
Distance Capability: Archers must be capable of shooting comfortably and accurately at 18 meters.
Pre-Coaching Meeting: Attendance is required at a mandatory pre-coaching meeting on October 1, 2026. Participants should bring their equipment, meeting will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Parent Membership: At least one parent/guardian must hold an active Archery Alberta/Archery Canada membership.
Format & Schedule: Classes run for eight consecutive weeks with limited class sizes to ensure individualized instruction. The schedule alternates weekly between structured coaching sessions and open range shooting practice.
Session #1 classes will run Thursday October 8, 2026 to Thursday November 26, 2026 weekly at 6:00-7:30p.m. Week one of structured coaching is October 8, 2026.
Registration for this class will open here on October 2, AFTER the pre-coaching meeting. Registration is $150.
